About NT4K

NT4K Purpose
The purpose of New Teachers For Kansas (NT4K) is to generate awareness of teacher shortages across Kansas, especially in underserved counties. We aim to identify and inspire potential new teaching candidates and motivate them to think about how they may help alleviate the problem. NT4K provides the information and resources for new educator candidates to assess their education options, enter a teacher training program and obtain a teaching certification, ultimately leading a classroom in Kansas.

The program focuses on directing candidates to the path to licensure and classroom positions that best fits their life situation, location and schedule. Finding professionals in the workforce who may be interested in changing careers to become a teacher, sharing their specialized, real-world experience, is another key area of emphasis.

NT4K is a collaborative program, open to any organization sharing our goals and affinity for quality, well-resourced education for all of the school children in our state.
